Hi Bobby! You might remember back in the beginning of Jersey Boys you and the other "boys" sang happy birthday to my then 16 year daughter, Allie on stage. I'm the mom whose video camera went on the blink and all I have are the sweet memories of that day! Anyway, you were awesome in Next to Normal and I am looking forward to your next project. My best always, Doreen

Thank you for your performance in Next to Normal. It was powerful and beautiful and made me sob through most of it! I am grateful to actors like you who can give us the gift of theater. It was one of the most unforgettable theater pieces I have seen!

I have bipolar disorder, so I was really afraid of seeing the show. It took me over a year to get up the nerve to go, but when I read that you were leaving the show, I figured that was a sign that I finally had to see (LOVED you in Jersey Boys!) to your last performance. Since that was my first time there, I wasn't comparing it to any other performance, but the reactions from the audience told me how much this show–and you–had meant to them. Entrance applause for Alice Ripley=silence. Entrance applause for you=thundering. It was pretty funny. I started to lose it ten minutes in, when the doctor was describing the pills' different shapes and colors. Hit very close to home. During the second act, when the doctor announced that Diana wasn't feeling ANYTHING and was therefore finally stable I thought I was going to have to leave. My mind stared racing and I was so afraid I was going to start crying, since when I start I end up howling hysterically (one of my more frightening responses to mood shifts). I kept trying to swallow my screaming, which resulted in a kind of snort, much less disruptive and frightening as totally losing it would have been for the actors and the audience. By the end of the show I was exhausted. Went online to buy the album as soon as I got home, but It's taken me two days to get back out of bed. As someone else posted, your performance was indeed effortless. I was AMAZED at the sounds and emotions coming out of you while you looked like you weren't even breathing hard. Just an incredible performance. It was a painful experience for me in many ways, but I am so glad I got to see you in the role. Brian d'Arcy James ' eyebrows give me the willies, and I know I would not have seen the show with him in it. Don't know where you are headed next, but I can't wait to find out. You are amazing.

Are you leaving N2N? Read on twitter that Brian will be taking over the role of Dan in May. I have seen the show on Bway seven times with various friends and family members. Loved the show, so much depth and raw emotion. Your performance touched me on a deep level. I have three sons so I could relate in so many ways. Met you several times at the stage door and you were always gracious and friendly. Never really asked for or wanted an autograph however I wanted the cast to know how deeply I was moved. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you have planned in the future.

I saw Next to Normal tonight from the house left box and it was SPECTACULAR. Your performance was absolutely riveting, honest, and deeply moving. Thank you for adding to the reasons why I want to pursue theater!

I just returned from "Next To Normal"..and was blown away. Your effortless performance was natural and moving. The two scenes that moved my husband most included your acting and voice.. thank you for giving a million percent to your work! Bravo!

Finally, I saw Next to Normal. Quite honestly I didn't know what to expect, though admittedly I didn't enter the Booth as if I was about to see Titanic (remember when that movie came out). It sounds rather cliche but I was riveted to my seat not only from the content, music and performances, but the raw emotion, connection and the painful realism of the show. There were moments I felt as if I was the only one in the theater. I've seen a lot of shows but nothing like Next to Normal. Your performance, from my observation and strong opinion, was like the spine, the back and body support for the show. "A Light in the Dark" hit me hard. The song is now one of my favorites and that's because of your performance. I will recommend Next to Normal to many and be talking about my experience for quite a while. Best to you and the rest of the cast.
